Dr. Celestial Wills-Jackson graduated from SUNY College at Old Westbury (2011) majored in Childhood Special Education and earned her B.S. in Education. She was awarded a scholarly fellowship at Queens College-CUNY, majored in Early Childhood Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis receiving a M.S.Ed. (2014).
Dr. Wills-Jackson taught as a special educator for over 15 years. She attended the University of Central Florida (UCF) earning her Ph.D. in Exceptional Education (2018). At UCF she was also the Program Coordinator of the College and Career Readiness Program for young adults with autism or an intellectual disability.
Dr. Wills-Jacksons’ research is focused on social skills deficits of children diagnosed with emotional behavioral disorders (EBD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Currently, Dr. Wills-Jackson is an Assistant Professor in Early Childhood and Childhood Education at Lehman College-CUNY and Site Coordinator for the School of Education. As coordinator, she is focused on strengthening teacher performance and improving the teacher preparation program utilizing teacher performance data for program improvement to foster clinically rich, effective student teaching. Additionally, Dr. Wills-Jackson is a licensed behavior technician working with families and children with autism.
